What you´ll do

If you enjoy working in a high-speed manufacturing environment with high-performing teams that want to make a difference, then come work at Henkel! We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated, team-oriented, problem-solving Facilities Reliability Manager that has a process-improvement mindset.

The Facilities Reliability Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing all manufacturing general maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement activities in line with the plant's strategic goals and objectives. This person is also accountable for leading the facility's key performance indicators. This is to be accomplished by reducing machine downtime and unscheduled maintenance through improved equipment reliability. An effective preventive maintenance program is expected. Productivity improvements are also expected because of utilizing process tools and knowledge of system capabilities. Specifically, the program focuses on value creation measures by improved equipment reliability to maximize manufacturing productivity.

  • Provides leadership and direction to the Salt Lake City General Maintenance Team responsible for repair, as well as maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations.
  • Leads and mentors the SLC General Maintenance Team with their roles, responsibilities, and expectations to meet plant objectives in Housekeeping, Safety, Quality, Waste, and Cost.
  • Supervise or assist with the development of the parts room database, to include assignment of part numbers, establishing minimum/maximum inventory levels, and generating reports.
  • Assist and train personnel to cycle count parts, materials, and supplies, as well as sign-out tools and equipment.
  • Provides leadership in implementing and/or maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs (TPM practices).
  • Creates and maintains the maintenance budgets.
  • Manages maintenance department costs within budgetary guidelines.
  • Continuously applies sound mechanical and electrical solutions to resolve reliability issues that negatively impact plant efficiencies (driving continuous improvement).
  • Provides technical support for efficient troubleshooting and problem-solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.
  • Works with operation leaders to ensure equipment/asset availability that will best meet customer requirements.
  • Enforce a safe work environment and ensure general maintenance personnel are practicing "best safe work practices."

What makes you a good fit

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a technical discipline is highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a process-oriented operation or related industry.
  • Must have a proven ability to lead and develop a team and work groups.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to establish and reach continuous improvement goals and initiatives.
  • Experience with implementing and starting best-in-class continuous improvement/lean manufacturing processes and systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the CPG industry is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to handle high-pressure situations and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Must have knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance management.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • SAP and Ariba experience are a plus.
  • Must be able to pivot and adapt to a rapidly changing environment in a high-speed manufacturing environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities or multitask.
  • Must have strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving/troubleshooting, and attention to detail skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and improve trusting relationships.
  • Must be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences, including active listening, clear presentation skills, and the capacity to provide feedback.

There is a $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS for this role. The yearly salary range for this role is $76,100.00 - $110,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
